Inland Empire Utilities Agency, California, USA – operating groundwater recharge program

The Groundwater Recharge Program has been using Title 22 Tertiary Treated recycled water since the 2000s. It involves 46 basins across 19 basin sites, a mix of imported water, stormwater and recycled water is introduced to the basins via spreading grounds. Typically, around 15* million gallons (57 million litres) per day is provided into the basins for indirect potable reuse.
