Palmdale Water District, California, USA – Planned Groundwater Augmentation

Palmdale Water District currently receives drinking water from three main sources: imported water from the State Water Project, groundwater from the Antelope Valley Groundwater Basin, and surface water from Littlerock Reservoir.

Currently, Pure Water Antelope Valley is not in operation but is expected to be in operation by early 2029. Once in operation, the project will supply approximately 29,000 people, or 25% of the supply needed for the District. The project is in the process of completing the design of the Demonstration Facility (visitor center), and start of construction of the Facility is slated for Spring 2024 with completion within one year. Tours and testing will start after completion.
