City of Westminster, Maryland, USA – Planned Reservoir Augmentation, could supply 20,000 people
Westminster, like other cities across the United States, is experiencing increased, recurring drought conditions. In response, the city has been proactive in its water supply planning to ensure local water reliability now and for the future.
One forward-thinking way the city is planning for the future is by launching PUREWater Westminster, which will use proven technologies of Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis, Granular Activated Carbon, Ultraviolet Disinfection and Advanced Oxidation to purify reclaimed water to provide a safe, sustainable, and drought-resistant drinking water supply.
This initiative will help Westminster keep local control of its water supply and costs and provide a pathway for economic growth, business and commercial development, and continued community vitality.
The project design and permitting is complete and is currently under bidding.
