Los Angeles County Department of Public Works, California, USA – Operating Groundwater Replenishment site receiving purified recycled water from West Basin Edward C. Little Facility (El Segundo 1)

The West Coast Seawater Barrier is one of three seawater barriers in southern Los Angeles County that the Water Replenishment District supplies recycled water to. Purified indirect potable reuse water from the West Basin Municipal Water District Edward C. Little Facility (see El Segundo 1) is delivered to the West Coast Seawater Barrier to prevent seawater from intruding into the groundwater aquifers and simultaneously augments groundwater supply.
